Nigeria–America Social Entrepreneurs Forum (NASEF)

The Entrepreneurs' Network

Good ideas grow when people have the right connections, knowledge and opportunities.

The Nigeria–America Social Entrepreneurs Forum (NASEF) brings together entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals and innovators who want to build businesses, share ideas and work with others to create meaningful opportunities.

Whether someone is running an established business, developing an idea or looking for ways to use their professional skills beyond their regular job, NASEF offers a place to connect with people who share that ambition.

About NASEF

A Network Built Around People and Possibilities

Entrepreneurship is not only about starting a company. It is also about recognising a need, finding a practical solution and bringing the right people together to make something happen.

NASEF was conceived as a meeting point for people who want to turn their knowledge, experience and ideas into opportunities.

Some members may already own businesses. Others may be professionals looking to explore new ventures, young entrepreneurs trying to find their footing, or experienced individuals willing to share what they have learned.

The forum encourages members to learn from one another, exchange ideas, build relationships and explore projects that can make a difference in their communities.

At its heart, NASEF is about helping people move beyond conversations and discover what they can achieve by working together.

Our Purpose

Connecting Skills, Ideas and Opportunity

Many people have useful skills, business ideas or professional experience but lack the connections, guidance or opportunities to take the next step.

NASEF seeks to help close that gap by bringing people from different backgrounds into one network. The forum focuses on four areas:

  • Enterprise Development

Encouraging people to develop business ideas, strengthen existing ventures and explore opportunities for sustainable growth.

  • Professional Collaboration

Helping people connect with others who share similar skills, industries or business interests.

  • Job Creation and Self-Reliance

Supporting conversations and initiatives that can lead to new businesses, employment opportunities and greater economic independence.

  • Social Entrepreneurship

Encouraging enterprise that responds to real challenges in communities while creating economic value.

The goal is not simply to bring people into the same room. It is to help meaningful relationships develop into useful collaborations.

Who Can Join

You Don't Have to Own a Business to Belong

NASEF is open in its outlook to people at different stages of their professional and entrepreneurial journeys.

Business Owners

People running businesses who want to meet potential collaborators, explore new markets and exchange practical experience.

Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Individuals with ideas they want to develop, even if they have not yet started a business.

Working Professionals

Doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers, accountants, technology professionals and others interested in applying their expertise to new opportunities.

Social Entrepreneurs

People building businesses or initiatives that respond to challenges in health, education, employment and community development.

Investors and Mentors

Experienced individuals interested in sharing knowledge, identifying opportunities and supporting enterprise development.

Young Professionals and Graduates

People beginning their careers who want to build useful networks, learn from others and explore entrepreneurial possibilities.

NASEF recognises that people bring different things to a network. Some bring experience, some bring ideas, some bring resources, and others bring the willingness to learn and contribute.

Professional Networks

Bringing People Together Around Shared Interests

One of NASEF's proposed areas of development is the creation of specialised professional networks.

These networks would allow people working in similar fields to connect more directly, discuss challenges in their industries and explore opportunities together. Rather than limiting members to general networking events, these groups can create space for more focused conversations and practical collaboration.

Featured network

Nurses & Healthcare Entrepreneurs Network

A network for nurses, healthcare professionals and individuals interested in building healthcare-related enterprises.

For example, a nurse with years of clinical experience may have an idea for a home-care service but need guidance on business planning, operations or finding suitable collaborators. Through a professional network, that individual could meet people with complementary experience and begin exploring how to develop the idea.

Potential areas of interest

  • Home healthcare and care services
  • Health education and wellness programmes
  • Healthcare staffing and workforce development
  • Healthcare management and consulting
  • Community health enterprises
  • Medical and healthcare support services
  • Professional training and mentoring

Technology & Digital Enterprise Network

Connecting developers, designers, technology professionals and entrepreneurs interested in digital products, technology services and business innovation. Possible areas include software development, digital business tools, technology education and solutions for local businesses.

Education & Training Entrepreneurs Network

Bringing together teachers, trainers, education professionals and business owners interested in learning services, skills development and educational enterprise.

Women in Enterprise Network

Creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs and professionals to connect, exchange experiences, develop business ideas and build supportive professional relationships.

Agriculture & Food Enterprise Network

Connecting individuals interested in agriculture, food processing, distribution, agribusiness and related enterprise opportunities.

These are proposed network areas, not claims that all groups are already operational. Additional professional networks can be developed based on member interests, available expertise and opportunities for collaboration.

How NASEF Works

From Connections to Collaboration

NASEF is intended to create opportunities for members to engage with one another in ways that are useful and practical.

01

Connect

Meet entrepreneurs, professionals and individuals with shared interests across Nigeria, the United States and the wider diaspora.

02

Exchange Ideas

Discuss business challenges, share experiences, learn about opportunities and discover different approaches to solving problems.

03

Build Partnerships

Identify people and organisations whose skills, experience or resources complement your own.

04

Develop Opportunities

Explore business ventures, professional projects, mentoring relationships and initiatives that can create value for individuals and communities.

05

Grow Together

Maintain relationships, share progress and continue learning as ideas develop into practical activities.

The forum's value should come from the relationships members build and what they are able to do with those connections.

Nigeria–America Collaboration

Building Bridges Across Borders

Nigerians at home and abroad have valuable experience, professional knowledge and business connections. NASEF seeks to create opportunities for these strengths to come together.

A professional in the United States may have industry experience that could benefit an entrepreneur in Nigeria. A Nigerian business owner may understand a local market that a diaspora professional wants to explore. Two people in different countries may discover that they are working on similar ideas and could benefit from collaborating.

NASEF provides a platform where these conversations can begin.

The forum encourages knowledge exchange, professional relationships, enterprise development and practical cooperation between people in Nigeria and the diaspora.

The aim is to make cross-border connections more useful, accessible and relevant to the people involved.

NASEF & the International Vision Collective

Two Networks, Complementary Purposes

NASEF complements the broader International Vision Collective (IVC). The International Vision Collective brings together people who share KOGA's wider vision of faith, service, leadership and community transformation.

NASEF has a more specific focus. It brings together people interested in entrepreneurship, professional collaboration, business development and economic opportunity.

Broader network

International Vision Collective

A broader network of people connected by shared values, community development and the KOGA vision.

Focused network

NASEF

A focused network for entrepreneurs, professionals and innovators interested in enterprise development and practical economic collaboration.

Both can contribute to the wider goal of helping individuals and communities grow, but they serve different purposes.

NASEF & KOGA's 2027 Vision

Creating Opportunities Through Enterprise

Economic empowerment is an important part of KOGA Faith Foundation's vision for community development.

People need more than encouragement. They also need knowledge, relationships and opportunities that can help them build sustainable livelihoods.

NASEF supports this direction by focusing on entrepreneurship, professional development and collaboration. As part of the 2027 vision, areas for development may include:

01Expanding the network of entrepreneurs and professionals
02Creating specialised professional interest groups
03Organising networking and enterprise discussions
04Encouraging mentorship and knowledge sharing
05Connecting Nigerian and diaspora professionals
06Exploring partnerships around enterprise and job creation
07Supporting social entrepreneurship that addresses community needs

These are strategic directions to develop, not guaranteed outcomes or completed programmes.

Your experience, ideas and connections matter

You do not need to have everything figured out before becoming part of an entrepreneurial network. You may have a business idea you want to explore, professional experience you can share, or an interest in meeting people who are building something meaningful. Whether you are an entrepreneur, a professional, a mentor or a potential partner, there may be opportunities for you to contribute.
